Pottery and yoga in Málaga: our workshops explained
Clay in the afternoon, yoga on the beach in the morning. Two things we run and how to join.
Alongside the café we run two kinds of events. Both fill up quickly and both are easier to join than people assume.
Pottery Café
An afternoon of ceramics in the café. We set up the tables, bring out the materials and for a couple of hours the place becomes a workshop.
No experience needed. Most people who come have never touched clay, which is precisely the point.
How a session goes: you arrive, sit down, there is coffee and something to eat. Someone explains the basics. You choose what to make — usually a mug, a small bowl or a plate. You work at your own pace, talking to whoever is next to you. Pieces are left to dry, then fired and glazed, and you collect them later.
The honest part: your first two pieces will be crooked. All of them are. Two weeks later you will be drinking coffee from a mug you made yourself and you will not trade it for anything.
Yoga and brunch
A yoga class on Malagueta beach first thing, when the sand is still cool and there are few people. Afterwards everyone walks to the café, where the table is set.
Classes are accessible — no experience required, and nobody is watching you. We have also run evening editions with yoga and dinner, including a full-moon ritual and a glass of natural wine.
Prices usually sit between 40 and 50 € depending on the edition.
How to book
Dates are announced on Instagram and published on the events page of this site, where you can reserve directly.
Places are genuinely limited — the size of the café sets the maximum. If you see a date and it appeals, do not leave it until tomorrow.
